Most people report very little to no pain when a needle is inserted. Certain sensations associated with the therapeutic effects of acupuncture might include pressure, heaviness, distention, slight cramping, tingling, or warming sensations. These sensations can come and go, and are typically mild and fairly subtle. If it feels uncomfortable for you, we will come up with alternative techniques or modalities to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

Yes, I am in-network with several major insurance companies and can help check your benefits. For the most current list of in-network insurance companies, please see the scheduling page. For any other insurance carriers not listed, please inquire, as we may be able to bill as an out-of-network provider. If I am not in network with your carrier, I am also happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.

Don’t come on an empty stomach. Acupuncture is a subtle yet powerful medicine; eating something small prior to treatment can stave off any unwanted side effects, like lightheadedness or dizziness.
Bring a list of medications and supplements you are currently taking (unless already listed on your online paperwork).
Additionally, please bring any relevant diagnostic imaging, lab results, or other relevant medical records.
